Daily Picks Recap - August 4th

Blue Jays +1.5, ML  (-110, +220) | 2.1 Units, 0.2 Units - WIN, LOSS

• The Blue Jays fell to the Yankees in extra innings today, losing the money line pick. However, it was a one-run game, so our +1.5 pick cashed. Juan Soto hit a home run, and D.J. LeMahieu finished things in the 10th with a walk-off single.

Marlins ML (+220) | 0.9 Units - WIN

• The Marlins shut out the Braves 7-0 thanks to a six run fourth inning. Jonah Bride hit a three-run home run to power the Marlins in that fourth inning. Max Fried pitched just 3⅓ innings in his return.  

Nationals ML (+110) | 0.35 Units - WIN 

• The Nationals held off the Brewers 4-3 to claim victory. James Wood had a triple with the bases loaded to give Washington a 4-0 lead. The Brewers had three runs in the top of the eighth but couldn’t add one in the top of the ninth to force extras. 

Royals ML (-135) | 1.25 Units - WIN

• The Tigers held a 2-0 lead in the top of the ninth until MJ Melendez belted a three-run home run to propel Kansas City past Detroit. The Royals will be battling with the Twins and Red Sox for Wild Card spots for the remainder of the season. 

Guardians ML (+115) | 0.2 Units - LOSS

• The Guardians fell to the Orioles 9-5 in this battle of division leading teams. Corbin Burnes picked up the victory for the Orioles striking out four across five innings. 

Orioles -1.5 (+135) | 0.2 Units - WIN

• On the flip side, the Orioles won by four to cash this bet. Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman combined for five RBIs to help this bet win. 

Rays +1.5 (-150) | 0.75 Units - WIN

• The Rays picked up a 1-0 win over the Astros earlier today. The Rays pitchers gave up just three hits to shut down Houston.

Red Sox ML (+110) | 0.15 Units - WIN

• The Red Sox beat the Rangers 7-2 at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Wilyer Abreu had his 11th and 12th home runs on the year to help Boston keep pace with Kansas City and Minnesota in the Wild Card race. 

Athletics ML (+135) | 0.15 Units - LOSS

• The A’s fell to the Dodgers in a 3-2 ballgame. Cavan Biggio had an RBI single in the third to give the Dodgers the lead which they never relinquished. 

Mariners ML (+100) | 0.1 Units - LOSS

• Seattle was shut out by the Phillies 6-0. After an amazing comeback the night before the Mariners ran out of luck today. Zach Wheeler pitched eight innings and gave up just two hits in a dominant performance.

Units: +5.89
