Daily Picks Recap - August 7th

Guardians ML, -1.5 (-110, +186) | 1.6 Units, 0.6 Units - LOSS, LOSS

• The Guardians fell to the Diamondbacks in the first game of a doubleheader 7-3. Three home runs by the D-Backs were too much for the Guardians bats. 

Twins -1.5, ML (+124, -142) | 0.8 Units, 0.6 Units - LOSS, LOSS

• The Twins led 2-1 after two innings, but after that it was all Cubs. Ian Happ added a two-run home run to power the Cubs past the Twins. 

Rangers +1.5, Astros ML (-146, -125) | 5 Units each - LOSS, WIN

• The Rangers nearly cashed the +1.5 play but ultimately fell to the Astros 6-4. The Astros started out hot but the Rangers nearly came back. Good thing they didn’t because the Astros moneyline was a 5 unit play. 

Marlins ML (+115) | 2 Units - WIN

• The Marlins beat the Reds 6-4 to win another large bet. Jake Burger had two home runs and Derek Hill hammered a grand slam to give the Marlins the victory. 

Pirates ML, Padres -1.5 (+140, +110) | 1.25 Units, 1.75 Units - LOSS, LOSS

• The Pirates and Padres had a back and forth game that ended in extra innings. The Padres ended up winning 9-8 thanks to a three run 10th innings. The Pirates unfortunately added two runs of their own to spoil the Padres -1.5 pick. 

Nationals ML (+136) | 0.5 Units - LOSS

• The Nationals lost to the Giants 7-4 Blake Snell picked up another victory allowing just four hits in six innings pitched. Matt Chapman added three hits to lead the Giants over the Nats. 

Brewers ML, +1.5 (+140, -155) | 5.5 Units each - WIN, WIN

• The Brewers chased Chris Sale from the game after just four innings and were able to take down the struggling Braves. This pick looked risky on paper but the AI knew what it was doing. Both picks cashed, giving us two huge 5.5 unit victories. 

Angels ML, +1.5 (+215, +102) | 1.25 Units, 0.5 Units - WIN, WIN

• The Angels took down the Yankees in the second game of a doubleheader for two more successful bets. Neither team scored past the fourth inning of this game but that was enough for the Angles to win 8-2. 

Red Sox ML (+125) | 2.5 Units - LOSS

• The Red Sox fell to the Royals 8-4. Bobby Witt Jr. had two home runs as he continued his quest for the AL MVP award. 

Overall Record: 6-9

Units: +6.15

Although we had a losing record overall, we hit some huge bets due to the units. The Brewers came up clutch and the Astros and Marlins won to make this a very profitable day.
