The Pirates lost a close one against the Arizona Diamondbacks as they suffered a 9-8 defeat. The Pirates attempted a comeback after Luis Ortiz had a horrible 1st inning allowing 5 runs but it just wasn’t enough. Arizona was hot off the bats with Josh Bell and Ketel Marte having a 2 home run performance which propelled them to victory.

The Reds fell to the Giants as they dropped a goose egg losing 3-0. The night belong to Giants Pitcher Blake Snell as he threw a no-hitter along with an 11 strikeout performance.

The Rays suffered back to back losses as they lose to the Astros 3-2. Astros got the game clinching run on an error from an Aledmys Diaz double scored by Jose Altuve. Yusei Kikuchi had a stellar debut as he became the 1st pitcher in AL/NL history  to strike out 8-plus batters consecutively. Rays still hold on to cover the spread which is a win in the bettor’s book!

The Trout-less Angels fell to the Mets 5-1 as they struggled to get contact with only 6 hits. Brandon Nimmo had a day with a .600 batting average as well as Pete Alonso hitting a 2-run homer.

The Athletics survive a red hot Dodgers team in a 6-5 victory. The Dodgers had a valiant comeback effort in the 9th scoring 3-runs but it just wasn’t enough. Brent Rooker, Shea Langeliers, and Seth Brown all had a home run for Oakland in their win.
